Ronda Rousey’s career is over according to UFC president

Dana White, the UFC president, weighed in on Ronda Rousey’s situation. He thinks that her career is pretty much over.

Earlier this month, Rousey was defeated in a game after she spent so much time bragging about it.

“I think she’s probably done,” declared White.

On “UFC unfiltered” White discussed about what are the odds the fighter will return. The president discussed with Ronda, but wouldn’t dish on the conversation. He says that there is big possibility she won’t fight again.

Given the failure, the fighter probably decided to step out of the limelight.

“I think she’s probably done…She’s going to ride off into the sunset and start living her life outside of fighting,” continued White.

Amanda Nunes is the one that defeated her in the huge fight. This happened at the UFC 207. The fighter managed to defeat Rousey in less than a minute. The 27-year-old made clear her plan of taking Rousey down from the top spot.

Since the fight, Ronda has been keeping herself busy. She wants to get a weapon license in Nevada. She was also seen protesting at the Dakota Access Pipeline.

In spite of this, she had an amazing career, being some of the best fighters in the women category.

Her contribution to UFC is huge, as she brought the MMA to women and made it popular. She also had a lot of popularity. She starred in many adverts for UFC.

Her talent brought her huge sponsorships from great companies.

At the end, White adds that she has had a great career so far and she is one of the biggest fighters the world has ever seen. Rousey basically “put female fighting on the map.”

Since the fight, Rousey didn’t comment. She didn’t say anything about whether she will fight again or not.

 

Ben Affleck will not direct ‘Batman’

“The Batman” was supposed to be directed by the actor who has played the character before. In spite of this decision, he will still produce the upcoming movie.

The Warner Bros. is the company that will produce the film. Along with them, Affleck decided that it is best for him to step up of the position.

Starring in it and producing are already big tasks.

The 44-year-old declared that his decision was made to ensure that the much-loved character will be played properly.

“Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give,” said Affleck.

The new director for the movie hasn’t been chosen yet. Now, both Affleck and the studio are looking for someone.

According to rumors, Matt Reeves might by a favorite. He directed “War for the Planet of the Apes.”

The studio also weighed on the matter. It revealed that they are fully supporting the actor and his decision, as it is the best thing to do.

The next Batman movie was already shot. It will appear on November 17.

For the “Batman” movie, the rehearsals were about to start this summer. The actor wrote the script with Geoff Johns.

His first role as Batman was in last year’s “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

The next movie is highly anticipated. Batman has always been one of the most loved superheroes. Along the years many great actors impersonated the character: George Clooney, Christian Bale, Michael Keaton.

The team at Deakin has studied the effects of this type of diet on a group of patients diagnosed with a major depressive disorder.

They were asked to consume for 12 weeks foods based on a diet that prevailed proteins, fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, olive oil and nuts.

And, scientists have observed that one-third of the participants said they had noticed a significant improvement in their health status, spirit and general symptoms.

According to the director of the Center for Food and Mood, the Mediterranean diet has been previously associated with positive results on cardiovascular health, reducing the risk of diabetes and increasing longevity.

We already knew that the diet has a very strong impact on our body’s biological aspects and can influence the risk of organisms to develop depression.

The immune system, the gut microbiome and our brain plasticity appear to have a central role not only on our physical health, but also on a mental level.

So, the food, of course, is the main factor of influencing the gut microbiome.

A kamikaze girl aged 10 years died after blowing up her explosive belt

A girl of about 10 years olf has died in an attempted suicidal attack in the North West of Nigeria.

She activated her explosive belt after the police forces started to approach her, as was reported on Tuesday by a member of the civilian police authorities.

Supposedly, the little girl approached the security forces and tried to cross the road towards the camp for displaced persons, said Musa Ahmad, one of the representatives who is working in military support against the Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram.

The soldiers have specifically ordered her to stop, but she ignored them. They threatened to fire at her.

After a few moments, the girl subjected to the police’ orders and lifted her hijab, revealing her face. She had explosives on her belt. She activated and exploded.

The attack, which took place on Monday at noon in the town of Banki in Borno state, on the border with Cameroon, has not resulted in aby casualties apart from the kamikaze girl.

According to a witness, on January 18^th, a woman accompanied by a teenager were killed by the explosion of their belts, while refusing to allow the police forces to perform a search on them.

In April 2016, at least seven people were killed in their camp in a double suicide attack committed by two women.

Thousands of civilians have sought refuge in Banki, 130 km away from the state capital of Borno, where Boko Haram was first founded.

The insurrection ended with more than 20,000 dead people and more than two million displaced people since 2009.

A phenomenon called “hangry” does exist. Being hungry can seriously affect your mood. Your relations and the way you socialize can be seriously affected.

It can also affect your work.

If the level of glucose in the blood decreases, our concentration can be reduced, while our mood become way more irritable. That will not only disturb you, but the ones around.

Aggressiveness is linked to it. Hormones that lead to stress, like adrenaline, will be released much faster.

A study was ran to see how hungriness really affects. Married couples participated. They were asked to pin voodoo dolls when they were angry at the other.  Another test consisted in them blasting a high noise at the other once he won.

As the time passed, their levels of blood glucose were measured.

The ones that had a lower level of sugar put more pins in the doll and, at the end, they screamed higher.

Another study on the same matter was ran before. Judges are believed to be influenced by being hungry. As the lunch time comes, they are likely to be harsher and deny parole. This can also be caused by tiredness.

Hungriness can seriously affect our disposition and the way you perform tasks. People should be more careful when it comes to this and make sure they eat constantly. Breakfast should be the first one that shouldn’t be skipped.

“Hangry” is a real phenomenon, that really affects our lives. Our work lives and the relations we have with others could be disturbed.

NASA journey to Mars will take place by the end of 204. The journey will be taking place within three years. This period of time is enough to arouse the problem of the death of a crew member.

The most important aspect of this interstellar trip would be what happens if somebody dies while on the mission. What will happen to the corpse if the crew still has two more years until returning to Earth?

According to scientists, dark humor is a sign of intelligence. A joke such as this needs a complex way of processing the information.

But this isn’t all, the ones that understand this type of humor are also linked to a less aggressive behavior, while their mood is always better.

The Medical University of Vienna ran the study. According to the team, they came to the conclusion that “cognitive as well as emotional aspects” are required in processing humor.

Black humor, on the other hand, is even more complex, therefore the processing is also more complex.

In the test, they used twelve dark humor cartoons. 156 persons, aged around 30, were involved.

The ones involved had to say if they found them tasteless or vulgar. They also needed to say if they liked it or if it was somehow new.

But the humor wasn’t the only one tested, but their personal qualities. This could have been influenced by their character. Starting from the vocabular, to the background, education and how easy their mood can be disturbed, all were taken into account.

Age nor sex represented a factor.

At the end, the researchers came up with a conclusion and found out that there were three groups of people.

Happiness is also related to humor. The ones that are moody, won’t, most likely like the joke, especially a dark one. Not only that a good mood will make the person understand the humor, but also get involved and appreciate it.

The level of aggressiveness also affect the way you comprehend such a joke.

The perfect solution to the problem of transporting your luggage comes from Vespa inventors.

The same team of designers responsible for Vespa scooters has dedicated all the attention to an autonomous robot that can carry your luggage from side to side.

Titled Gita, the new gadget from Engadget is really the first product of an independent division within the group Piaggio Fast Forward.

On the long term, it seems that we will see some other robotic systems to come out of the same hands.

The idea behind this invention is quite simple.

Using an electric battery, the robot can carry your bags anywhere, but it is programmed to respect several criteria.

It cannot travel at a speed greater than 35 km/h and it can either follow the indications on a map or follow you as you walk in front of it.

Due to its unique design, the machine can turn 180 degrees on the spot, while the maximum transportable bag has to weight under 18,5 kilograms.

In the first stage of development, the robot will be sold only by business-to-business programs, specially dedicated to corporations.

The 2017 Grammy Awards will take place on February 12.

An insider says that Drake will be a no-show too. He is nominated in lots of categories, though, in eight.

With eight nominations as well, Kanye West doesn’t plan to show up.

Last year, him and Kim Kardashians both came. This year, he won’t be there because of racism.

He has a theory that when he is nominated in a category with a White singer, he never wins.

In spite of that, he has an impressionable collection of awards: 21.

Frank Ocean, who had one of the best albums last year, “Blonde”, didn’t submit it. His album was much-waited, coming after a pretty long break.

Last November, Ocean declared that the awards don’t “seem to be representing very well for people who come from where I come from.”

He thinks that the system isn’t good anymore. People are nominated or awarded based on this system, that is wrecked.

Many artists feel like they are discriminated, especially at such awards.

The information has been forwarded by the British newspaper The Guardian.

According to the website Deadline.com, the two actresses, who had previously starred together in ‘Eat Pray Love’, will be the leading figures in a new movie.

The film is an adaptation of the novel ‘Great Small Things’, written by Jodi Picoult.

The movie will be produced by Marc Platt, whose latest film – “La La Land” – is considered to be the favorite in the Oscar race for Best Movie.

Davis, a favorite to win the Oscar for best-supporting actress for her role in ‘Fences’, will play a nurse who is forbidden to touch the newborn a white couple.

When the child dies, the nurse is sued and accused of murder.

The script is loosely based on a true story. At the moment, it is unclear what role will Julia Roberts will play, but she probably interprets the defense attorney.

Another Picoult’s adapting novel, “My Sister’s Keeper” had Cameron Diaz starring as a leading actress.

Davis was recently rewarded as she received a Golden Globe Award for her role in “Fences”. Also, she currently appears in the third season of the thriller series of ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder”.

In her last movie, Julia Roberts starred together with George Clooney in “Money Monster” and Garry Marshall’s comedy “Mother’s Day”.

This year, she will voice of a character in “Smurfs: The Lost Village” and will appear next to Jacob Tremblay in “Wonder”.

The prince talked at the World Jewish Relief fundraiser. There, he talked with the ones that went through the Second World War.

He remembers the pain people had to go through, especially Jews, in the Holocaust and not only.

He fears that the “increasing danger” of the war was forgotten.

One of the reason for his fears is the new American President, Donald Trump, who has shaken the world with his decisions. Before he was chosen, the prince did warn about what may happen.

At the fundraiser, he also pointed out how important it is to support the ones in need now.  He thinks that this charity is something that can help. People can be helped “practically, emotionally and spiritually.”

This charity dates way back during the war. Then, it offered an immense support and still continues to do that.

Members of the charity helped the Jews that went through a difficult time then. The ones that managed to escape from Germany or Ukraine got help.

Now, refugees from Rwanda or Syria benefited from their support.

Both the prince and the director of the charity show how important it is to provide support and learn from the terrible things that happened during the war.

Last year, Prince Charles declared that he feels like the 30’s are happening all over again. The world has that dark image over itself.

Two cats received bionic paws thanks to an innovative surgical technique

Two Bulgarian cats with amputated legs have received a shot at a better life.

The animals were implanted ‘bionic paws’ by an innovative surgical method, performed in Europe for the first time.

Pooh, the cat, received by the means of the implantation technique, two artificial limbs after having lost its paws due to a train accident it suffered.

Now, the cat is able to walk and play like every other normal cat.

The implants are customized and secured to the leg the same way that the hoof grows through the skin covering the fingers.

One month after surgery, the operation is considered to be a major success, as stated the veterinarian who performed the surgery.

The second cat, named Stephen, had lost both its back legs. The cat has been implanted only one prosthesis until now, but it prepares for the second intervention which is to come.

The two animals touched by the grace of technology are able to walk again

Consequently, they are in a very good health state and they are looking for homes and kind masters.

Earlier in 2010, a similar intervention, totaling $ 50,000 has been performed on Oscar, a British cat. So, the cat became the first bionic-legged cat in the whole world.

During the intervention, that had lasted for four hours, the doctors have welded the bones of each leg in special prosthesis in order to encourage the cells to keep growing on the metal support.

Following the procedure, the skin develops and comes to be a sort of an umbrella, protecting the affected area from possible infections of the wound.

A brewery launches Oreo-flavored beer

A brewery from Virginia announced that is going to serve beer that tastes like Oreo. This news will definitely make fans of the biscuits very happy.

The brewery is called “The Veil Brewing Company”. The beer is bottled in purple cans.

They gave the news a time ago on their Instagram account.

The release date was January 24. The beverage tastes like chocolate milk with lots of Oreos and with beer, of course.

Although it seemed kind of weird and impossible, the beer sold out in no time at all. Everyone’s favorite cookie definitely made the trick.

George R.R. Martin is working on a ‘Game of Thrones” short story. Both the books, and the HBO series have got a crazy success.

The author was supposed to finish writing a book that continues the GOT story, “The winds of the winter”.

The short story takes place in the world of Westeros.

It will be entitled “Book of Swords.” The book will include 15 stories related to the Game of Thrones and a brand new one.

The author has been working on the sixth book of the series for a very long time, since 2011. Fans can’t wait to finally get their hand on that, maybe this year the wait will be over.

Martin did promise on his blog that this year will be the year the book finally comes out, but who knows.

The series are now at the seventh season, which will be the last one. It has one of the biggest success ever.

At the half of the year, the fans will get to see the beloved characters again after a long wait. The official date is not known yet, though.

Although they are pretty private, some actors did give some spoilers of the seventh season. Kit Harington, who plays one of the most popular characters, opened up a little bit. He will definitely be in the next season.

The ex-president of ExxonMobil, Rex Tillerson, was nominated as the US State Secretary.

His appointment has reached a new stage on Monday, after the procedure vote came out positive from the Senate.

The confirmation vote will take place in the next few days, according to AFP.

56 senators have voted in the favor of Rex, while the other 43 were against. The Republican majority gave its acceptance, while almost all Democrats refused to submit a positive vote for Tillerson.

This was a procedure vote which was meant to pave the way for the final vote, which has been scheduled for Wednesday. But, it may be possible that the date will be changed and the vote will occur some other day.

The democrats are accusing the former president of ExxonMobil, a giant oil company, that he had a past bond with Vladimir Putin.

However, Rex Tillerson, aged 64 years, may succeed the Democrat John Kerry, who had left his position and resigned after spending four years holding this position.

Currently, the political leader and no.3 in the state department, Thomas Shannon, will be temporarily holding the position as the head of the US diplomacy.

Until now, only four of all the senior officials who had been appointed by Donald Trump were confirmed in their positions. The confirmed leaders are James Mattis, John Kelly, Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley.

Tillerson, aged 64, has no diplomatic or governmental experience.

Though, he was suspected of having some links with the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Tillerson has dedicated his career to the energy sector and has experience with foreign governments, given that the oil giant ExxonMobil is active in over 50 countries.

The “Big Bang Theory” star won a SAG Awards at Sunday’s ceremony. Jim Parsons and his character have lots of fans. For this role, he won several Emmy Awards and many others.

This was the 23^rd edition of the awards.

Although he usually wins for the TV series, this time he won for his role in the hit-movie “Hidden Figures”. The film had a big night, with several nominations and wins.

He won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Although he did not win, he was nominated for “Big Band Theory” too.

He was joined by close friends, his co-star from the CBS show: Kaley Cuoco was there and his on-screen girlfriend, played by Mayim Bialik.

Parsons shared a couple of pictures on social media. One showed him with an envelope in his hand that had his name written on it.

Bialik also shared pictures from the event, some with Parsons.

She captioned one with: “The moment you realize your favorite actor is sitting directly behind you,” referring to Denzel Washington.

Cuoco looked pretty in pink. She wore a beautiful gown. She also shared pictures, one with her dog, “the true star.”

The CBS series premiere every Thursday. Now, there are currently at the 10^th season.

The producers also have a surprise, as a spin-off is in talks. Parsons gave the scoop in an interview.

George H.W. Bush receives Super Bowl special invitation

Bush was asked to be the honorary coin flipper, say reports.

The 92-year-old didn’t respond yet as he experienced some health concerns lately.

He was released from hospital this week, after both him and his wife were hospitalized a while ago.

Earlier this month, he accused problems breathing and had to go through a surgery. As he is now back home, his state must have improved.

It is not known whether he will accept the invitation or not. His health might be to week now to participate.

The big NFL night, that every American sport’s fan waits for. will take place on February 5.

The Atlanta Falcons will have to play against the New England Patriots that are led by Tom Brady.

Last year, at the event, Joe Montana had the honor of filliping the coin. Bush would love it too, but given his situation, he might refuse.

This isn’t the first time Bush received this honor. In 2002, he did it. That was the first time a president that was actually ruling at that time did it.

Another president had been invited. Ronald Reagan did it, but via satellite. He was in the White House. That happened in 1985.

Bush’s team didn’t respond to the speculations.

More than 9.000 people affected by immigration ban

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday through which he bans people from seven countries to enter the US.

According to data, more than 9,000 people are affected by this restriction. The ones that have a visa or are waiting to get one are affected by it. The ones that have a green card are safe.

The countries banned are: Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Yemen and Sudan.

On Monday, Trump took to Twitter to point to the fact that only few people were held for questioning at airports. Sean Spicer, his press secretary, also spoke about it.

According to the president, “only 109 people out of 325,000 were detained and held for questioning.”

In spite of this number, the people that are actually affected are in a much larger number.

The number Trump delivers doesn’t take into consideration the ones that were stopped from boarding the plane. More than 348 people couldn’t do that on Friday after the law.

This isn’t all, once they arrived in the states, some had to go back, as they weren’t allowed to enter.

Iranians, even if they were included in the ban or not, had to experience bad traveling, with delays and lots of questioning.

The State Department released a report that says how many people from these states have received visas since 2015.

People will be banned for just 90 days now to enter the country. The ones that are already in the US won’t be able to leave in this period.

The numbers the president and his staff delivered are obviously low in comparison with the real facts. This was definitely meant to protect his decision and make things look milder than they actually are.

After Donald Trump signed the executive order and protests are held all across the country, Barack Obama opens up about the restriction.

On Monday, Obama spoke about the ban and reassured the immigrants that he is by their side.

A spokesperson of Obama released a statement on the issue. The former president is proud to see that people are taking measures and are sticking up for their rights.

What he wanted the Americans to do after he left the office was to fight for democracy and for their rights. Seeing this actually coming true makes him proud.

In spite of this, he is disappointed in the actions of Trump. Obama “fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion.”

Before he left his position, Obama said that he will let Trump do his business before he interferes and says his opinion. But, it seems clear that this ban was too much to take and interfering was necessary way sooner.

People from Obama’s administration are also unhappy about it. An attorney general from his staff said that she won’t defend the ban in court.

Others, who intended to take a time off after Obama left the White House, feel like they need to do something about this restriction.

Michelle and Barack are still in vacation. He wasn’t available for an interview.

Americans and the whole world are unhappy about this ban. Officials in America are trying their best to do something about this. While everyone shows disapproval, Trump defended his decision, saying that all he wants to do is protect the US.

The British scientists have come up with this incredible study and have published it in a report quoted by upi.com.

There are some significant differences on how people are using the online environment.

So, researchers have been trying to figure out why is this happening.

The study was conducted by testing a group of twins. The results indicated that a part of the answer lies in our DNA.

Consequently, the British scientists have analyzed the online media content used by over 8,000 identical and differing twins. All the individuals are aged 16 years.

The identical twins have a common DNA in a percentage of 100%, while the slightly different ones only have 50% of their DNA in common.

Researchers concluded that the genes are responsible for more than one-third of the differences on how each person is using the online educational content, different forms of games or digital entertainment.

The results are contradicting all the popular theories and studies upon media effects. Usually, researchers have considered media as an external entity with some sort of influence upon every single person – whether it’s positive or negative.

Managing to identify the fact that the differences are written in our DNA is influencing the way in which the individuals interact with the media.

So, the individual is not 100% in charge, but he is conducted by an unconscious need.

However, unlimited access to media devices has played a bigger part than the genetic factor.

Even though the study has identified a strong bond between human genes and the online activity, scientists weren’t able to establish a relationship of causality between the two.

Father of Pac-Man, Masaya Nakamura, passed away at 91

The former CEO and founder of the video games company Namco died at the age of 91.

The sad news was released by EFE in a press statement.

Nakamura founded the company, who bared his name in 1955, died on 22nd January.

His first company was dedicated to building and manage recreational games for kids in commercial centers and involved all kinds of fun games and mechanical attractions.

In 1977, the company was re-entitled Namco, which is an acronym for Nakamura Amusement Machine Manufacturing Company.

Three years later, Namco launches the first video games machinery, entitled ‘Pac-Man’, designed by Toru Iwatani.

Pac-Man was the most popular and successful video game of all times, and this fact was even recognized by the Guinness Book.

In Japan, the game is known as ‘Puck Man’.

Hanna-Barbera launched a TV animated show for ABC in the 80’s after the famous game.

The signature character is the centerpiece of the Namco Toys Museum.

The Japanese engineer was born on 24^th December 1925.

He graduated from Yokohama National University in 1948 and founded the company in 1955.

Nakamura became a CEO in 2002 and Senior Advisor of Bandai Namco Holdings in 2005.

A year later, the engineer became the new Bandai Namco Games CEO, known today, as Bandai Namco Entertainment.

The ‘father’ of Pac-Man was also named an Honorary Member of Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Senior Advisor of Japan Amusement Machine and Marketing Association.

His funeral was held in private only with close friend and relatives.

Melania Trump and son out and about despite protests

On Monday, the First Lady and son Barron were seen out in New York. The two were running some errands, as people protested for their third day in a row.

The mother-son duo was joined by the secret service. Melania sported a nude coat and high heels, while Barron was cozy in jeans and a pair of snickers.

The two were in Manhattan. After spending about twenty minutes in the area, they returned to their lavish apartment in Trump Tower.

Melania and Barron are going to stay in New York for a few more months until the 10-year-old will finish this year of school. The decision was taken by the First Lady, who wants to ensure that he gets the best education and treatment.

According to an insider, the younger son has had a pretty difficult time lately. Moving to Washington would be pretty tough for him. All the attention him and his family received must have put a lot of pressure too.

The two returned home immediately after the inauguration festivities. Barron was there to support his father as he became the president officially.

Although his wife isn’t by his side, he has daughter Ivanka and son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Like usual, Ivanka will support her father.

While the two spend time together, Trump has to deal with the protests that take place nationwide and not only. Everybody is condemning his decision.

In New York, protests were held as well, especially at the JFK airport. Barron and Melania stayed away from the East Side, where the protests are held.

The Mexican President, Enrique Pena Nieto and the Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau, have spoken on the phone on Monday.

They seemed to agree to maintain a close contact with each other. Also, they decided to act quickly to strengthen their North American ties.

The Mexican government announced the news in an official press release, quoted by Reuters.

Pena Nieto ‘reiterated the Mexican government’s wish to continue to fortify the relationship between the two countries’.

‘Both leaders agreed to intensify their working together as a team to accelerate the integration of North America, a stronger and more prosperous integration’, said the Mexican government.

The discussion of the two leaders came after the US President Donald Trump threatened to withdraw from the Free North American Trade Agreement (NAFTA) that is linking the three countries.

Trump is decided to take a step back if the treaty won’t be renegotiated for the higher benefit of the United States.

The US authorities are claiming that Trump is focused on US’ trade deficits with other countries, such as Mexico.

Meanwhile, the Canadian officials said that they will be focusing on maintaining the trade connections with the US during the discussions on renegotiating NAFTA.

Also, this may not help Mexico to avoid being the target of the new administration of President Trump.

A meeting was supposed to be held last week, between Trump and Pena Nieto.

But, the meeting has been canceled after the US President said that it is better to give up the agreement if Mexico is not willing to pay for the wall that would be built between the two countries.

Roger Federer pays tribute to wife

The Grand Slam winner owes it all to his wife. Roger Federer pays tribute to wife Mirka after her immense support.

This weekend, the Swiss won his 18^th major title and his wife was there to support him.

He thanks her being right by his side even when he didn’t have this success and he knows she will be there for him many years to come.

“She had a big part to play in it – she knows it, I know it, everybody knows it,” says Federer.

The two got married in 2009. They have two daughters and two sons.

Mirka was always at his games and she always made sure that she supports him. After the Australian Open finale, the two hugged each other. She was the first one Roger rushed towards to.

Federer had a tough time these months, after he had to take a break for knee injury. The game with Rafael Nadal was a very tough one.

His longtime rival changed his tactics, thing which surprised him. Also, he is still recovering from the injury. His shape isn’t as good as it used to be. In spite of all these, he managed to win.

The last time he won a Grand Slam was in 2012 at Wimbledon.

Federer praised his wife on Monday. He also added that even though she is a mom, she always makes time to be by his side. He also said that the victory means much more because he can share it with his family.

Mirka will probably accompany him to the rest of the big games of the year, where Federer will make a proper come-back.

Nearly 2,000 persons grabbed each other’s hands on Monday, floating on a salt lake in Argentina, setting a world record for the largest number of people floating in the water together.

Some representatives of the Guinness Book of World Records certified that 1,941 people floated in a human chain, simultaneously, for 30 seconds, on Epecuen lake in southeastern Buenos Aires.

The salt water of Epecuen kept the participants on its surface for a couple of seconds.

Thus, they floated freely, holding hands, as you can see in a video released by the local authorities.

The most recent trailer for the long awaited Disney production starring British actress Emma Watson was released.

The new clip lasts for two minutes and thirty seconds.

Belle, portrayed by Emma is wearing her signature yellow dress, while she is talking to Cogsworth, Mrs. Teapot, and Babette.

The trailer was unveiled during the most recent ‘The Bachelor’ episode and left us breathless.

Another aspect that left everybody breathless was the soundtrack of the new movie.

Especially, the duet performed by dynamic duo John Legend and Ariana Grande.

Ariana hinted the music collaboration with the “All Of Me” singer on her Instagram page, right after the New Year’s Eve.

The original version of the “Beauty and the Beast” song was interpreted by Celine Dion and American R’n’B singer Peabo Bryson back in 1991.

According to the producers, although her signature song was “borrowed” by John Legend and Ariana Grande, the 48-year-old music legend will also bring a new contribution to the movie.

Celine is launching a new hit song entitled “How Does A Moment Last Forever”, also part of the official soundtrack.

The motion picture is directed by Bill Condon, the mastermind behind the “Twilight” trilogy and the script is signed by Stephen Chbosky.

The new Disney production premieres on 17^th March 2017.

The first “Beauty and the Beast” movie was produced 25 years ago and reported revenues of $145 million dollars.

Echolocation can be learned and used by people on a daily basis, with a little practice.

But how?

How can we become able to move, even if we do not see what’s in front of us?

The phenomenon has already been observed among people who are unable to see, who can appreciate the distances from the walls of a room using their sense of hearing.

Guided by the noise

But, surprisingly, researchers have found that individuals with sight can also do this.

The study was conducted at a university in Munich.

Researchers have discovered a technique that can track the brain activity in such a situation, using the imaginary magnetic sound.

All the participants in the study have received headsets and were placed into MRI scanners.

They listened to some audio signals to discover their position in space.

Then, they made noises by using their tongues and received the corresponding echo in their ears.

Thus, all the participants were able to learn how to perceive the differences in the size of an open space.

According to researchers, the subjects were able to properly guess the dimensions of an area if they kept producing noises.

One of the participants even managed to calculate the size of a room with a deviation of only 4% compared to its real dimensions.

Such tasks activate the sensorial cortex because the sound waves produced by the noise are captured by the ears.

Also, patients with visual problems had an activation of the motor cortex, which stimulates the tongue and the cords to produce new sounds.

Now, researchers are working on a method of training that will help the blind patients to use echolocation, through the sounds produced with the tongue.

And, guess what? The new mark will include Jennifer’s name

“And he’s willing to permanently show it to her by covering the shark tattoo he got with Rihanna and replacing it with JLo’s name!”

According to some inside sources, Drake took the Barbadian beauty to the aquarium to see the sharks.

Unpleasant memories and traumas to be removed by using the laser technology

Unpleasant memories or even childhood traumas may be erased from the memory by using a laser technology.

This step forward might be offering a chance to those suffering from PTSD and not only.

A researchers’ team, originally from Japan, has found a way to manipulate the neurons in mice’s brains.

So, they managed to remove those specific elements that trigger the bad memories.

Fortunately, the method can be used to treat the post-traumatic stress syndrome.

The scientists from Toyama University discovered that it is possible to link two distinct memories and then disconnect them.

In order to achieve that, they induced mice a profound state of fear.

Initially, the rodents were taught to associate the feeling of pain with a specific flavor and, after that, a sound with an electric shock.

So, the two memories were linked by associating taste with sound, which triggered the mice to freeze because of their fear of the electric shock.

The researchers used a technique called optogenetics. It relies on the light to activate specific neurons during the memory block.

That was how they managed to disconnect the two bad memories from each other and to erase the link.

However, the researchers were able to disable the unhappy memories without fully erasing them.

It is believed that a full removal of the trauma could harm the patients suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder.

In general, the method could be used to decouple any common memory that is leading to a  painful one, without affecting the individual.

To conclude, scientists think that all our emotional memories are linked to the amygdala of our brains, but the mechanisms that are in control of our memories are still shrouded in mystery.
