A tunnel from a nuclear test facility in North Korea would have collapsed after the Pyongyang regime conducted their sixth nuclear test in September.

More than 200 people have allegedly died, writes Reuters quoting the Asahi Japanese television.

Reuters, however, says it has failed to verify from official sources the information of the Japanese journalists who were quoting sources inside North Korea.

Around 100 workers at the Punggye-ri nuclear testing facility would have been swallowed by the earth after the tunnel collapsed on September 10th.

A second landfall would have occurred during the rescue operation, and the number of victims would have doubled, reaching to 200.

Experts say a series of earthquakes and landslides that took place in North Korea near nuclear sites most likely indicate that the sixth and largest nuclear test of the Pyongyang regime on September 3, destabilized the region.

Under these circumstances, the Punggye-ri nuclear testing facility may no longer be used for nuclear testing, Reuters writes.

A Japanese is offering their nonsmoking employees an extra of six paid days off after they started to complain their smoking colleagues are working less.

Apparently, smokers unlike nonsmokers, besides the fact they benefit from a regular lunch break just like the rest of their colleagues, they also go out for “cigarette breaks”, writes The Telegraph.

Tokyo-based corporation, Piala Inc. introduced the new policy in September and the nonsmoking group rushed to take full advantage of it.

“One of the company’s non-smokers has filed a notice earlier this year saying cigarette breaks are causing problems,” stated the spokesman of the company.

“Our director saw the notification and agreed that non-smokers should receive extra time in compensation”, added the Japanese.

The complaints filed by non-smokers multiplied because the company’s offices are located on the 29th floor of a skyscraper from Tokyo.

Anyone who wants to smoke has to go to the basement, and every cigarette break takes at least 15 minutes.

“I hope to encourage employees to quit smoking through these incentives rather than through constraints”, said Takao Asuka, Chief Executive Officer of Piala Inc. for Kyodo News.

At least 30 of the company’s 120 employees have taken their days off since the new system was introduced, according to Matsushima, who is also a non-smoker and used the free days to travel to a thermal resort with his family.

So far, the initiative encouraged four people to quit smoking, added the CEO.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 21.7% of Japanese adults smoke, the percentage being higher among men and older people.

The Japanese police found nine different bodies, including two headless ones in an apartment in Zama, a neighborhood situated near Tokyo.

The authorities have arrested a 27-year-old suspect, who was there when the police have arrived.

“I killed them and then I took care of the bodies to hide the evidence”, stated the man, identified as Takahiro Shiraishi for the NHK.

Meanwhile, the Jiji press agency reported that Shiraishi chopped the bodies of eight women and a man and transferred the remains into the bathroom.

Parts of the victims’ bodies were discovered in his refrigerator.

Apparently, the Japanese authorities were investigating the mysterious disappearance of a 23-year-old woman before they made the macabre discovery.

They made a connection between the killer and the missing woman who was living in the apartment located in Zama, in the Kanagawa prefecture, southwest of the Japanese capital.

A few days before the police made the connection, the missing woman published the most disturbing message on Twitter, which sounded like this:

“I am looking for someone to die with me”.

According to the Japanese media, the two met on a website with members who have suicidal tendencies.

A video surveillance camera has captured images of Takahiro Shiraishi with the young woman on Monday.

According to Kyodo, the woman’s brother who contacted the police on October 24, his sister had been missing since October 21.

It’s been a while since I realized that this idea of happiness was a “very psychological” one, as Albert Einstein had known this since 1922 (and probably many others before him).

The physicist wrote down two theories on how he believed happiness can be achieved on two little notes sold the other days for $1.56 million during an auction in Jerusalem.

Albert Einstein wrote these ideas in 1922 in Tokyo (where he attended at a conference) and instead of offering a tip, he left these to a courier.

The scientist had won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921, so he told the boy that if he was lucky, one day he will make some good money from these two little notes.

While enjoying a quiet evening at the Imperial Tokyo Hotel, Einstein wrote the first note in German:

“A calm and humble life will bring more happiness than the pursuit of success and the constant restlessness that comes with it.”

The second note, written at the same time on another sheet of paper, says:

Indonesia: 23 dead and 40 injured after explosion destroys fireworks factory

A massive explosion destroyed a fireworks factory from Indonesia, killing 23 employees and injuring 40, the local police has reported to BBC News.

The incident occurred in the morning, right after the working day begun.

The factory is situated in the industrial complex of Tangerang, a city a few kilometers west of the capital of Jakarta.

“We are still evacuating the victims”, said Tangerang Kota police chief officer Harry Kurniawan.

“There are 103 workers who work for this plant”, police representative Nico Afintaun has said.

He also revealed that 43 people were injured and were transported to three different hospitals from the area, while the remains of all 23 dead were founded by the emergency units.

Various parts of the building where the factory unfolded most of its activity collapsed after the fire spread with an incredible speed.

A local government official said the plant was inaugurated six weeks ago.

The Singapore passport has been ranked as “the most powerful” in the world, according to the Global Passport Index, which assesses the degree of freedom of citizens from certain countries and it was published on Wednesday by the Arton Capital global consulting firm.

The ranking was based on a so-called “visa-free score”, which includes lists with countries where a particular passport holder can travel without a visa.

The Singapore passport occupied the top position of the list (159 countries without visas), surpassing the German passport (158) and the Swedish one (157 countries).

The list is usually dominated by European passports, with Germany holding the top position in the past two years.

Paraguay’s abolition of visa requirements for citizens in Singapore propelled the country’s passport to the top of the list for 2017.

“For the first time, an Asian country has the most powerful passport in the world. It is an indication of Singapore’s diplomatic relations and effective foreign policy”, stated Philippe May, CEO of Arton Capital.

Other Asian countries that reached the top 20 are South Korea (visa-free passport for 157 countries), Japan (156) and Malaysia (154).

Instead, the US passport has dropped in rankings since President Donald Trump took over the White House, following decisions by Turkey and the Central African Republic to revoke visa-free entry for US passport holders.

The disturbing incident occurred last week and, in the meantime, the Facebook post was deleted.
