Dwayne Johnson, Highest-Paid Actor in 2016. Forbes Released the Annual List

American actor and former wrestler Dwayne Johnson “The Rock” was ranked as the highest-paid actor in the world, according to Forbes.

Reportedly, the “Central Intelligence” star surpassed his fellow actors after he earned an estimated $64,5 million dollars in 2016.

For Dwayne, the incredible amount represents more than twice of his last year’s total income.

According to Forbes, his most successful projects from a financial point of view, were blockbusters “Central Intelligence”, the new “Baywatch” and of course, “Fast and Furious 8”.

The runner up is Chinese actor Jackie Chan, with a total income of $61 million dollars, due to his movie projects from China.

The third on the list created by Forbes is American actor Matt Damon, who reported $55 million dollars gains. Damon acquired his biggest paycheck after the release of “The Martian”.

More than a quarter presented in the top created by Forbes are from U.S.

Four Bollywood stars also made the top-earning list, with Shah Rukh Khan emerging as the highest earning after he reported more than $33 million this year.

When it comes to actresses, Jennifer Lawrence officially became 2016’s top-earning actress. The “Hunger Games” star topped the list aged 26, considering that all of the highest-paid actresses are under 50.

Four actresses won over 20 million dollars this year including Melissa McCarthy, Scarlett Johansson şi Jennifer Aniston.

For three years in a row, Robert Downey Jr. topped the list of the highest-paid actors in the world. This year, Downey dropped on the eight place after earning almost $33 million dollars.
