Human rights need to be taken serious everywhere, even in prisons.

Because of the political correctness, it seems that the jihadi ‘poison’ flourished even between bars, warders being afraid of being called racist or accused of breaking human rights.

The study also revealed that the inmates are sometimes let unsupervised at prayers and that body searches are sometimes avoided because they claim they are wearing ‘religious dresses’. Books were also admitted, even if promoting extremism.

Tory MP Philip Hollobone stated that this timely report really made a point and that it is imperative for prisons to not serve as a breeding ground for more Islamic extremism. She also stated that many of the public institutions have the same kind of problems.

Justice Secretary Elizabeth Truss will today says measures will be applied in order to toughen the approach to extremism in jail and that the fanatics will be facing their own security category, where the worst of them will be locked in the so-called ‘jihadi wings’.

Warders and governors will also get ‘training, skills and authority’ to get along with the lack of confidence the report identified, being able this way to control the fanatics that are considered a threat by promoting ‘anti-British beliefs or other dangerous views’ in Friday prayers.

Another efficient way of stopping the spread of the Jihadi ‘poison’ would be, instead of face to face Friday prayers, to have video prayers, making the action more controllable. This was an action that several countries already tried, which proved very efficient.

Miss Truss stated: ‘Islamist extremism is a danger to society and a threat to public safety … I am committed to confronting and countering the spread of this poisonous ideology behind bars.’

There is a number of 12 633 people practicing the Muslim religion in both Welsh and British prisons from which, out of 147 terrorists, 137 are known to be Muslims.
