Milwaukee-Eight engine from Harley Davidson is the latest out of nine so far, that is going to be developed by the company and it will be the one to power the new 2017 Harley-Davidson Touring type of motorcycles.

As one of the ninth ‘Big Twin’ engine, the new Harley Davidson motor was officially presented a few weeks ago.

The new V-Twin engine was tuned in order to get a better throttle response along with a smother power delivery, while still keeping the well-known and beloved appearance and exhaust note.

“Riders asked us to create a new engine designed to enhance their motorcycle touring experience in every way. Those same voices also demanded that we stay true to our legacy and respect the defining elements of a Harley-Davidson V-Twin.

It was a big challenge, but one we’ve met. With the Milwaukee-Eight, a new era of Harley-Davidson power, performance and innovation has been forged”, declared Scott Miller, the Vice-President of Styling and Product Development Strategy of Harley-Davidson.

The new engine will be powering all of the 2017 Harley Davidson Touring, in two versions of the engine, Milwaukee-Eight 107 and the Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114, the first one with a displacement of 1,745cc and the second one with 1,870cc.

Harley Davidson is world’s most known and beloved motorcycle which was first made in 1903, in the state of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company went through wars and financial crises but managed to make it until today, proving to be one of the best motorcycles in the world.
