Ryan Lochte Could End Up Behind Bars

After the Rio scandal, where Loche declared that he was threatened at gunpoint and robbed after a night out with his teammates, the Brazilian Police charged the professional swimmer.

If found guilty of lying in his declarations, Lochte could face at least six months in a Brazilian prison.

The Tourist Police is asking for Lochte to be summoned, but there is also a possibility for only his lawyer to go there to represent him.

There is also the possibility that he might get sued by the gas station owner for damage, in both criminal and civil court.

All of these come after Lochte declared that him and his teammates, Jimmy Feigen, Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz, were held in a taxi and threatened with a gun by men with police badges, while the footage from the gas station shows them vandalizing the place. The men that actually came were just security guards.

The money the guards took from them were actually taken from them in order to pay the damages they brought to the gas station.

Ryan Lochte had a lot to suffer from the false declaration he gave to the police in Rio, having a lot of his sponsors withdrawing their while the media was not so easy on him either.

The swimmer, known for the many medals he won during his career, regrets lying about what really happened and not describing the events how they really occurred. He even had his eyes in tears at a TV show where he admitted everything.
