In the world of gaming, Call of Duty has quickly earned a top spot not only among the young but among people of all ages.

Many believed this new mega force on the battlefield would create some sort of inner warfare between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

While both are popular and offer bold wartime possibilities, Call of Duty has now made a bold leap into the distant future as well as into outer space and like Star Trek, has gone where no man has gone before.

On the other hand, Battlefield 1 focuses on the past, during World War One aka “The Dawn of Modern Warfare,” a time that spelled the approach of the cavalry’s final days. Those who have got their hands on this game have only enthusiastic reviews of its quality presentation as well as its relentless ability to create havoc and destroy.

The last US veteran of WWI, Frank Buckles died in 2011 at the ripe age of 110. While all wars are hell, WWI carries a particular cachet about its history that makes for an exciting realm of possibilities for this new game, Battlefield 1.

Landscapes and color are bright and quickly changeable and players never lack the gigantic war machines that came out of WWI such as huge airships, Big Bertha cannons and other machines, such as trains that the play controls as one weaves a relentless path across the Sinai Desert or other equally realistic and colorful locales.

Lots of death and destruction and while many will no doubt compare Battlefield 1 with other war games. For those who want realistic grim iron in their diet, Battlefield 1 delivers.
