Comedienne Leslie Jones had her website taken down Wednesday afternoon due to an alleged hacking situation. Her driver’s license, passport photo and nude pictures were posted on the website, JustLeslie.com. It is alleged that the pictures were all stolen off of her iCloud account, according to the AP. The hackers also placed pictures of the gorilla Harambe along with Jones posing with famous celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Rihanna.
As of Wednesday morning, a GoDaddy picture was found at the website. The Saturday Night Live actress and the writer just returned from Rio celebrating and reporting on the Olympic. Thus far Jones has not made any comment on any social media. A representative for the comic did not respond to requests for a statement.
The hacker situation is just one month after Jones had online difficulties. After the release of Ghostbusters, a movie Jones stars in, a barrage of negative racist comments were posted to Jones’ Twitter wall. She “took a break” from the social media for a few days, but then quickly returned. Twitter in response, shut down sever accounts and posted lifetime bans for some people. Namely Milo Yiannopoulos, Brietbart tech editor, was banned for life. He released a comment regarding this most recent hacking situation stating that he is distressed to hear about Jones’ hack and he wish her the best.
Although Jones has not made a comment as of yet, director of Ghostbusters Paul Feig did. He posted to Twitter calling the “haters” sad. Jones addressed the issue on Late Night with Seth Meyers, stating that she was angered at the injustice of people ganging up against another person on social media. Whether or not there will be an additional statement from Jones or her camp, has yet to be seen.
