Lovebirds Nina Agdal and Leonardo DiCaprio were rear-ended as they cruised through Montauk Highway in Wainscott, East Hampton, on Saturday afternoon. The couple was using a Range Rover loaned to them by DiCaprio’s friend. While no one was hurt in that crash that occurred at 4:30 PM on August 20th, Leo made sure that everyone was alright, calling the East Hampton Village cops to help ensure that no one was hurt.
The East Hampton, New York, rear-ending involved an unidentified woman who was driving a Mini Cooper. According to the Page Six report, DiCaprio first made sure that Nina Agdal was alright, before going over to the Mini Cooper to check if the other driver was alright as well. As he tried to open the driver’s door, he found that it was locked, but the woman driving the Mini Cooper soon emerged, shaken, but otherwise unhurt. As he called the police to check on the incident, an ambulance also arrived, but only for precautionary measures.
DiCaprio and Agdal started dating around July 2016 and were spotted enjoying their time together in the Hamptons, Malibu, the Bahamas, and even Ibiza. DiCaprio is a multi-awarded actor and film producer, heavily involved in philanthropy, while Agdal is a Danish model signed with Elite Model Management. She has appeared on the covers of Vogue Mexico, Elle, Cosmopolitan, and Sports Illustrated. She has also graced the CR fashion book by Carine Roitfeld.
DiCaprio has been dating a string of gorgeous women, models, and actresses alike. Prior to Nina Agdal, he was last seen dating Roxy Horner, and his most recent, most high-profile romance was with songstress Rihanna in 2015. He and Agdal had already been labeled as an item, but they went on to resume their respective romances—Leo continuing with his romance with then-girlfriend Toni Garrn, and Nina was moving on from her one-year long-distance relationship with The Wanted singer Max George.
While both were seen together and figured in the car crash together, a source close to DiCaprio adamantly maintained that they were in The Hamptons for a birthday bash for one of Leo’s friends and that they were “with other people.”
Meanwhile, the Range Rover that Agdal and DiCaprio were in suffered very minimal damage, while the Mini Cooper that rear-ended them sustained extensive front-end damage and had to be towed. It was running at a speed of about 10 mph when the crash happened. Leo was said to be dressed casually, in a pair of shorts, a white t-shirt, and a baseball cap.
