Claudio Bravo fits Pep Guardiola’s football style better than Joe Hart said Sky Sport’s Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

As part of a finalization of personal terms for his move to Manchester City, Bravo has arrived in Manchester ahead of a medical. But doubts are beginning to rise about the future of England No. 1 Hart in the club owing to the imminent arrival of the 33-year-old Chilean stopper.

According to Sky sources, Guardiola’s decision to bring Bravo to the Etihad is coming with no surprises at all as there is a clear difference between Bravo’s goalkeeping abilities and that of Hart who is very likely to leave the club even before the deadline.

During a chat with Sky Sports News HQ, Balague said Goalkeepers at Barcelona need not only to be very good with the ball but also need to have a tactical understanding of the game. There is a need to understand when the ball should be played long or short and perhaps Joe hart is still yet to develop fully on these things.

According to Balague, Manchester City needs a goalkeeper that is spectacular who is much more different from others – a position which Claudio Bravo seems to be better suited for. However, he said he has no doubt that Joe Hart can learn to build confidence with his feet.

To him, Bravo has got added qualities that are both important to the success of the club and essential to a coach like Guardiola even though they (Hart and Bravo) are as good as each other when it comes to stopping goals.

While believing that the Chilean stopper can continue for another four or five years playing at the very top level, Balague thinks that the £17m deal represents good value for the Premier League side.
