Donald Trump states that there isn’t any legal status for undocumented immigrants residing in the United States, taking back his earlier comments where he appeared to be open to the idea. However, the Republican nominee refused to clarify his stance on forcible deportation of the 11 million undocumented immigrants in an interview.
“There is no way to get legalized except they leave the country,” he said. “When they come back, then they can resume paying taxes, but they cannot be legalized unless they leave and then come back.”
The republican nominee said that when he gets to the oval office, his first duty will be to authorize law enforcement to deport the “bad dudes,” like those who have been indicted in many crimes, which numbered into millions. But he refused to categorically say whether he plans to round up the other undocumented immigrants.
Trump said that there is a good chance that immigrants who have lived peacefully may be deported as well as the “bad guys”. These statements are the newest turn in his stance on immigration issues, which the republican nominee said he would crystallize into a speech next week.
All through the primaries, he promoted the deportation of undocumented immigrants. Now, Trump is saying that he may be open to considering a “softening” on his immigration stance, and made some comments that pointed out that a path to legalization is possible, as long as the undocumented immigrants paid taxes accrued from the time they came into the country illegally.
Trump also defended his statement against Clinton in which he called her a bigot. Both nominees have flung accusations back and forth over the African American minority issue. When he was asked if he thought Clinton hated blacks personally, he said her policies were bigoted.
