It is well known that children cognitive development depend on the interactions they have with other members of the family. A child deprived of the right amount of attention and communication in his first years will report a slower development and problems regarding his adapting in the adult life.

For newborns and babies communication through words, looks and touches with others are as important for their mental development as food for physical evolution. A child who benefited from the attention of his parents will be fit for kindergarten, learns to speak faster and will be emotionally balanced.

It’s important to communicate with children at the moment they are born. Even though they can not articulate words they process and store almost everything they hear.

Experts highly recommend parents to talk with their toddler in the most normal manner, without using diminutives or distorted words.

For example, when you go to the park with them, tell them about trees, animals or anything else you see around. Tell her\him about the people who will represent a big part of his life and remember, this must come as a natural process.

When it comes to newborns, communicate with your little one, while you’re making eye contact. Newborns don’t have the ability to perceive background noises such as the TV or radio, so place yourself in front of your angel and communicate using many gestures.

Regarding children that turned three, if you communicated effectively with him and he’s not able to process an adequate speech, talk to a specialist in order to find the cause. Most times, it can be an emotional blockage or in same cases, a medical problem.
