The couldn’t believe his eyes after he came across the disturbing and completely uninspired 9/11 ‘tribute’, created by the staff from Walmart.

‘We stopped and stared at it like, oh my God’, stated Shawn Richards. The man was headed to the beach in Florida when he entered the supermarket to buy some things.

The publicity team came up with the most awkward idea to recreate the ‘World Trade Center’ towers from Coke cans.

Under the banner is a sign announcing that Coca-Cola 12 packs are on sale for $3.33. ‘Rollback’ the sign states.

The tourist said that no one noticed the catastrophic ‘publicity stunt’ and believes the staff created the towers shortly before he entered the store. Richard decided to take some pictures and post them on social media.

The images outraged the netizens and he even got an official response from a Walmart spokesman.

Walmart representative Charles Crowson stated for ‘Orlando Weekly’ that the ‘display’ was removed. In addition, Crowson said that the 9/11 towers were a publicity suggestion made by Coca-Cola and they just approved it.

‘This display was meant to honor local firefighters and to support their organization’s upcoming event. We sincerely apologize that anyone was offended or misunderstood its intent, and we have replaced the display.’, said The Coca-Cola company in a statement.

Every year, companies across America struggle to come up various marketing strategies in order to commemorate the 9/11 victims. Obviously, Coca-Cola failed completely.
