Diddy is leading the highest-paid hip-hop artist Forbes top for the second year in a row. In 2016, Sean Combs registered a total revenue of $62 million, while his fellow-artist Jay-Z is the runner up.
What’s interesting about the 46-year-old American singer and entrepreneur is the fact that he did not win a lot of the money from music. Diddy made a fortune by closing the most profitable deal with Ciroc. He also has some shares at the Revolt radio station and a very appreciated clothing line.
Mr. Carter is the second in the top created by Forbes with a total income of $53,5 million.
Even though Jay did not release any album in the last 12 months , his Roc Nation entertainment brought him some pretty good sums.
The podium is completed by Dr. Dre, who raised $41 million dollars in the last year.
Although he never topped the list, during his career he was omnipresent in the ranking. His total wealth was estimated at $923 million.
She’s the only female who made it on the Forbes list and she also managed to obtain a pretty good position. Nicki Minaj is the sixth most wealthy hip-hop artist in the world, raising $20,5 million.
