Barack Obama, To Punish North Korea Following Their Last Missile Launch

US President Barack Obama required an implementation of sanctions for North Korea after their state leader launched three missiles into the sea.


During an official meeting in Laos, with his South-Korean counterpart Park Geun-Hye, Obama stated the fact Kim-Jong Un chose to launch the missiles while they were attending the G20 Summit, highlights the fact Pyongyang represents a serious threat.


‘The United States will support its allies without any hesitation and North Korea’s action will only lead to its profound isolation‘ , said the American state leader. Obama added that Washington has no interest in adopting an offensive attitude towards Pyongyang.


In return, the South-Korean president stated that Seoul will adopt a ‘strong’ attitude regarding any challenges coming from North Korea. Park Geun-Hye showed his full support for U.S.’ plan to impose a set of sanctions for North Korea’s most recent actions. According to South-Korea, China will also play a key role in their implementation.


On Monday, the North-Korean government launched three missiles into the sea, near the Bali Coastline  The nuclear bombs were launched from a southern part of the capital Pyongyang.


The three missiles were launched a few hours after the leaders of South Korea and China met at the G20 summit held in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.


The three missiles were the ‘Rodong’ type with a medium-range and able to fly about 1,000 kilometers,  informed the South Korean army. At least one of them arrived in the Japanese airspace, declared an official of the South Korean army for Reuters.
