China presented their first ‘invisible’ combat aircraft, known as Chengdu J-20. The unveiling took place during a large-scale aviation exhibition held on Tuesday in Zhuhai, reports Reuters.

Airshow China is offering Beijing the opportunity to display their ambitions in the civilian aerospace and in the military field, while the specialists estimate the aviation market in China will surpass the U.S. in the next decade.

Two J-20 aircraft passed beneath the dignitaries, spectators, and officials from the aviation industry, who attended the opening ceremony. The demonstration was greeted with shouts and applauses, triggering the car alarms from the parking lot.

‘It is clearly a big step for China’s combat capability, stated Bradley Perrett from Aviation Week, a veteran observer of the progress of this field in China.

Analysts say it is too early to say to what extent the new fighter Chinese will be able to avoid the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor radar. The tracking device was developed by the US Air Force.

The unofficial images of the J-20 prototype fueled a series of discussions. The debate was mostly generated by the balance of power in the region and experts argue that China’s refined design will reduce the gap with Washington.

Cao Qingfeng, an aviation engineer, said after watching J-20 aircraft flying over, the aircraft represents a demonstration of ‘breathtaking’ development in the Chinese aviation industry and production, a fact confirmed by the Western officials.

Besides the latest Chinese weapon systems, radars and drones, the Chinese scientists will present the strategic transporter Xian Y-20.
