Terror in Turkey: 2 dead and 16 injured in Adana

On Thursday morning, around local time 08:05 in Adana, more precisely in southern Turkey, at least 2 people were killed and 16 were severely injured, after the explosion of a car bomb outside the office of the regional governor, informed the local authorities quoted by the Anadolu news agency, quoted by Reuters and AFP.
Adana Mahmut Demirtas announced himself : ‘Two people were killed and 16 injured’.
The images on television captured the fire in the building from which a dense black smoke coming out of the car explosion and fully blur the look. The explosion broke the windows of the building with several floors.
Further details were not immediately available, but it is hoped that it will be adjusted.
In recent months, Turkey has been hit by a wave of car bomb attacks, committed by the forbidden Kurdistan Workers Party PKK and its subsidiary TAK. Other attacks were claimed by the terrorist group Islamic State.
Consulate General of Unites States in Adana warned three weeks ago that extremist groups ‘continue aggressive efforts to attack US citizens and other foreigners in Adana.’ State Department also alert US citizens to avoid traveling in southeastern Turkey.
Adana is situated about 16 kilometers from Incirlik Air Base, used by Us military to bombard the attacks against Islamic State of Syria.
In March, due to security concerns, the families of Us military personnel were ordered to leave Adana and other parts of Turkey.
