Protecting the new President of the United States requires more than $1 million per day. According to a group of officials from New York, these costs will drop significantly after Donald Trump will move to the White House.
So far, the eye-popping costs regarding the security area were these huge because the new First Lady and the First Son of the United States insisted on living in their $100 million apartment from the Trump Tower.
Also, Donald Trump expressed its desire in spending his ‘free’ time in the lavish penthouse, when he is not staying at the White House. According to CNN, Trump’s children are also under a 24/7 protection ensured by the American Secret Services.
‘We must ensure that the elected president his family and his team are safe.’, affirmed the Mayor of New York Bill de Blasio during a press conference on Friday.
The mayor explained that New York needs extra help to ensure the expensive costs regarding the security of the American president. According to the new New York official, the secret agents in charged with the protection of the entrepreneur are also assisted by the police officers from Manhattan and that implies a lot of money.
According to the American laws, the President must be escorted by the local police while he is returning home during the mandate.
However, protecting Trump became very costly for the New York Administration since he lives in one of the most densely populated cities in the United States.
The new President and his family will move into the White House in January.
