Alan Thicke’s cause of death was revealed

The beloved actor died on December 13, leaving a hole in the hearts of his beloved. Family, friends and fans are broken by the news of his early death and pay homages.

The death certificate reveals the causes of his death, which was caused  by a “ruptured aorta” and a “standard type A aortic dissection”.

After the rupture, his death was sudden and took place in a few minutes.

On December 13 he was playing hockey with his 19 year-old son, Carter. During one of the shifts, he rushed to a bench when he started experiencing pain.

He suffered a heart attack and he was rushed to Saint Joseph’s Medical Center. There was nothing that the doctors could have done for him. His death was pronounced by the hospital that afternoon.

An insider recalls seeing him happy that day, “in great spirits”.

Since his death, Hollywood stars have shared their tributes, including his television family.

His wife for over a decade released a statement in which she expressed her  “wrenching sadness and unbelievable grief” over the passing of her beloved.

Robin Thicke, his famous son, is in pain following his father’s passing and called him “the best friend I ever had”.

The funeral took place on Tuesday, where family and friends got to pay their tributes. The funeral ended with son’s Robin song. The actor was also honored on Sunday at a memorial in Santa Barbara. One of his sons wife called the tribute “perfect”.

Amongst the ones attending the funeral were  Bob Saget, Bill Maher, Alex Trebek and some of his ‘Growing Pains’ co-stars.
