The residents in a German city were advised not to go outside their houses.
Why did this happen?
Because of an incident that occurred at a chemical plant.
After the explosion, the town was covered in a noxious mass of air.
According to the firefighting team, a tank containing sulfuric acid was cracked.
The leaked substance was collected on early Thursday morning.
At least 200 people suffered minor respiratory problems after the chemical release at the plant.
However, only two of them needed to be transported to the hospital.
All the locals have been specifically required to stay in their home, with their doors and windows closed.
“There is a possibility that harmful fumes may have spread to the areas nearby the industrial zone”, said a spokesman for the German police.
People in the immediate vicinity of the chemical plant were taken to safer areas.
Public transport services have been temporarily suspended their activity.
It is known that air, through its oxygen composition, contributes to the development of our metabolic processes.
Thus, we maintain our development and survival as individuals.
Disorders of the air composition, filled with various pathogens (chemical, physical, biological, etc.) or modified properties of the air are the factors that may contribute to an altered health.
The atmospheric air in industrialized countries is filled with a number of microorganisms and inorganic particles which, depending on their type and time of exposure, can cause a number of lungs complications echoing in all the others body systems (cardiovascular, renal, digestive, etc.)
The main pathogens in the atmosphere are represented by ozone, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, acid aerosols.
