A Moldavian artist organized the most unusual exhibition
The man collected 10 ballots of fake $100 banknotes as a method to showcase the staggering amount of money robbed from the population of this country.
BBC News, who quoted Pro TV Kishinev, highlighted the fact this is the most impressive banking evasion performed in this country.
Every single fake money ballot weighs around 500 kilograms.
Altogether, the ballots gather the amount of $1 billion dollars and it magically ‘vanished’ from three banks in 2014.
The amount represents 8% of Moldavia’s GDP.
According to the local TV network, the exhibition is Stefan Esanu’s masterpiece and the main purpose is to reveal to Moldavians how much money we’re stolen at that time.
‘The people has no idea how much a billion means. It’s like you are saying <<cosmos>>, but the world does not imagine what does <<cosmos>> really means’, says Esanu.
The exhibition also includes 33 interviews conducted on 33 different Moldavian citizens.
His gallery became an instant hit and most visitors became shocked by the size of the ballots, which measured 1.4 meters tall each.
‘Do you even realize the impressive stolen amount and how many things they could’ve done with them?’, confessed a witness.
Another visitor added that some politicians should visit the gallery as well but they are ‘not interested’.
The money disappeared from Moldavia’s top three banks, right before the elections from November.
No one knows anything about the stolen amount.
