Australia deals with a crisis when it comes to obesity. The Government and doctors altogether want to do something about it, but the right plan still hasn’t showed up.

The latest idea concerns schools. They want to ban junk food from schools and every activity that includes them.

Experts in number of one hundred have come with a new plan after they ran a study. Their plan has 47 points.

The leader of the study said that there is no way to make people eat healthy or a method to make them do so. So that the problem can be solved, everyone needs to get involved: the state, local governments.

Their plan targets children especially. Taxing junk food and sugary drinks is a solution. If they become more expensive, then they won’t be bought so much. Also, there shouldn’t be as many ads about them.

Children shouldn’t be exposed to this kind of food. If junk food is banned from school, where they spend most of their time, then an improvement will be made.

A good start is to restrict them. It would be much easier for children to eat healthier if they don’t see this food everywhere, starting from TV and school canteens.

According to the executive manager of OPC, this problem should be dealt with as smoking is. If the prices increase, promotions are less common and they become less accessible, then the problem might be solved in time.

Adults are obese too, but children are the one who suffer most.
