Like the majority of Disney movies, “The Little Mermaid” is going to get a reboot. Disney is going to take on the beloved movie this year.
Lindsay Lohan is really looking forward to becoming a princess. On Saturday, the actress expressed her wish on social media. She shared a picture of her along one with Ariel. She advised Disney to take her and a friend of hers in the film as main characters.
Disney did not respond to her requests and said nothing about a movie.
Right now, other movies are getting reboots, like “Beauty and the Beast”. Cinderella also did.
Lohan revealed before that the ultimate role for her is Ariel. In November, she came up with the idea on social media.
According to reports, Disney was in talks last summer about a live-action. Lin Manuel Miranda said that he did have some talks with them about this movie. There were rumors that him and Alan Menken, who composed the soundtrack in 1989 for the original movie, have teamed up. He said that he still wasn’t sure of what he will be doing exactly on the movie.
Miranda is no stranger to Disney productions. He recently collaborated for “Moana” on the soundtrack and received an Oscar nomination for it.
Lohan is no stranger herself from Disney. Her first collaboration was for “The Parent Trap” in ’98. Then, she starred in the hit movie, “Mean Girls”, which brought her some of her best roles.
She took a break from acting in the recent years because of her personal issues. Maybe we will see her on the big screen again as a mermaid.
