After they buried Note7, the giant producer wants to come back in the game with Galaxy S8 and gain the trust of the users with the first smartphone with a 4K screen.
A phone with the code name Baikal is prepared to be launched in the market, claim the gadget forums. The information about the mysterious project is circulating among the Samsung fans on the internet, where a spy picture of the phone that associates the name Baikal – the deepest lake in the world situated in Siberia – with the iconic stylus of the Note phones.
It is expected for the Galaxy Note 8 to have a display of 6,1 inches and a 4k resolution, a curved screen, without a home button, just like S8. To be able to supply the phone with the new 4k screen, the South Koreans should rethink all the hardware of the gadget, in order to support the huge amount of energy the resolution would take.
To be able to promote the VR technology, Samsung needs a clearer screen and the 4k display is the best solution.
The phone will offer a similar experience as new generation laptops and desktops, and the operating system Android 7.0 Nougat – the most likely to be used for the gadget – will be adapted to offer the best experience on the TV screen or monitor, similar to the one offered by a Chromebook.
This is the way we could have access to Email, Word, Excel or any other apps we are using every day on a desktop or laptop.
Galaxy Note8 „Baikal” is expected to be presented at the end of August, just before the announced launching of iPhone 8.
