SpaceX lands at Cape Canaveral after space mission

On Sunday, Falcon 9 just returned at Cape Canaveral, the station from Florida. A video shows the breathtaking moment.

Elon Musk, the CEO, captured the moment and shared it on social media. From everyone, Musk might the proudest of this success.

The spacecraft did have some technical problems as it was supposed to return a day before. It did manage to return safely.

What made the event so special is that it landed on land and not on a platform on the sea, like it did five times before.

This is the first mission encountered in Florida after last September a spacecraft exploded. Everyone was happy that it managed to successfully go into space and then return like this. The fail from September was a real setback and made many nervous about the latest mission.

This craft is the third from SpaceX to land on the ground.

Falcon 9 had the mission to transport supplies and food to the astronauts that were on the ISS. It reached the same place were astronauts flew to the Moon almost fifty years ago.

The pad used for landing is from NASA. Space X will use it for the next years. Until now, it has been a success.

This craft is the first one to land during the day, when there is daylight.

People gathered at the station to see the beautiful moment.

SpaceX wants to use the same pad in the following years to send astronauts into space. Elon Musk and his company have bold plans. Starting now, every three weeks, they are going to launch something.
