You have to see this: Researchers plan to refreeze the Arctic Ocean!

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Having too high temperatures in the Arctic Ocean, things will become quite unhappy with the planetary life.

Because the temperatures of only -20 degrees Celsius are threatening the polar ice cap, scientists have decided to take the matter into their own hands.

Consequently, they tried to find a way to improve the current situation, which is quite sad.

Thus, because the ice is disappearing at a quite alarming pace, researchers came up with the idea of refreezing the Arctic.

Their plan is to install 10 million pumps (which will run on wind power).

By using the pumps, they will pour sea water over the existing ice.

This way, the existing ice layer will become more voluminous.

“The only strategy we have so far is to advise people not to burn fossil fuels”, said the leading researcher of the experiment.

Although it’s a good idea, is not enough to stop the ice melting.

Installing 10 million pumps would be sufficient to add another meter of ice in the existing layer, protecting it from the rising temperatures of the planet.

It is important to mention that the ice layer has an average thickness of 1.5 meters.

So, adding an additional meter during the winter will represent a major change.

Also, scientists noted that through this measure we can scroll back in time, almost 17 years ago.

Without a serious project that will refreeze the Arctic, we could look at a bleak future of the planet.

The problem itself is not the only local ecosystems and the planetary climate, but the whole mechanism currently available to fight the Earth from solar radiation.
