The BMW 8 Series Concept carries on the ‘legacy’ of the 1990’s Coupe, but with the most modern design mixed with luxury and sporty influences.

The sneak peek unveiled by the German manufacturer consists in a series of images
BMW 8 Series will be unveiled in September during an auto fair, where it will directly compete with its counterparts from Mercedes and Lexus, S-Class Couple and LC.
Judging the pictures, the exterior is completed with ‘aggressive’ lines and 21-inch alloy wheels.

The luggage compartment comes with an integrated spoiled, stops extending on both sides and trapezoidal discharges.

Regarding the standard version, the BMW 8 Series Concept is equipped with a 2-liter engine but, on request it can be transformed into a 3-liter.
For those who want more power, an eight-cylinder engine or a V12 with two turbochargers are also among the options.
And because BMW always saves the best for last, the M8 will be launched much later.

There is also a possibility these models to come with a BMW xDrive system and a hybrid version is not out of the equation either.
The car could be presented at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2017 but it will hit the market in 2018.

Considering that BMW 8 Series Concept will represent the company’s most prized possession, we can expect the starting price to be around $90.000.
