Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt published a very precise list with the “terrorist” organizations backed by Qatar
Saudi Arabia and its allies, who ended their diplomatic ties with Doha, published on Friday a list of names of individuals and organizations involved in “terrorist” activities financed by Qatar.
The individuals and organizations whose names appear on this list ‘have strong connections in Qatar and they are also involved in a political program conducted in Qatar’, suggested the communiqué published by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar and Egypt.
According to the document, this only proves that Doha ‘claims on one hand they are fighting to combat terrorism, while, on the other hand, they finance and host terrorist organizations’.
‘Through this common agreement, the four countries have reappointed 50 people and 12 entities on the list’, included the press release.
However, the controversial list includes two very well-known terrorist organizations, banished by the Qatar administration years ago, according to a recent US Department of State report.
The major crisis broke out on Monday when Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt decided to block their diplomatic relations with Doha.
These countries also judged Qatar’s close relationship with Tehran, the great rival of Riyadh, who also imposed harsh air restrictions and closed their land and sea borders.
Following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 from the United States, Saudi Arabia was also accused of hiding and supporting several terrorist organizations.
