ISIS moved its headquarters in Marawi, the capital of the Philippine island of Mindanao

Islamic Fighters executed a large group of Christians in Marawi, the Philippines city that came under the control of these murderers on May 22.

Members of the terrorist organization who decided to establish there posted on social media several video footages in which they shot dozens of Christians into their head.

About 100 people were shot or beheaded and their bodies were thrown in common graves at the outskirts of the island.

The list of victims includes the head of the local police, who was beheaded, because he refused to recite a prayer.

The city of Marawi, the capital of Mindanao Island, has about 200.000 inhabitants, most of them Muslims and a small Christian community.

In the past, the Muslim community from Mindanao complained about how they are being discriminated.

Shortly after a raid conducted by the authorities that had as main purpose to catch jihadist leader Isnilon Hapilon, several ISIS groups decided to flee on the Philippines island in order to support and protect Isnilon.

After he returned in Philippines, he came with an incredible experience and huge amounts of money provided by the Islamic State in Syria, luring teenagers and men to join the organization.

At the end of May, President Rodrigo Duterte imposed in Mindanao the martial law, but government forces are far from taking full control of the island.

On June 4, the army ended a truce with the jihadists to allow the evacuation of civilians, but thousands remained stuck in the conflict zone.
