A devastating fire seized the entire surface of a tower block from West London, causing the death of dozens of residents

Although the exact number of the victims is not yet clear, especially because the fire department is still struggling to shut the flames, most hospitals in London are packed with victims.

The area is being evacuated and the people who have escaped from the horrific scenes cannot believe they are still alive to talk about what happened.

According to Daily Mail, more than 120 apartments were destroyed by the bursting flames and the building seems like it’s on the verge to collapse.

The fire broke out during the night and the locals who managed to make their way out confessed they were asleep when the loud screams and the strong smell aroused them.

At one point, a woman with six children who lived on the 21st floor struggled to escape, but when she reached the ground floor, two of the toddlers got lost along the way.

Meanwhile, the residents from the upper floors were screaming for help and waving the lights from their mobile phones in order to be noticed.

“At this moment I am very sad to confirm a large number of deaths. I cannot confirm the exact number at this point, due to the size and complexity of this building”, said Dany Cotton, commander of London Fire Brigade Brigade.

Another witness told the journalist that he heard people screaming for help, begging that someone at least take their children.

“At around 1 o’clock, my mother called me and told me about this fire. Until I got out, all the frontal side of the building was bursting in flames”, said another resident for BBC News.
