Two parents from Canada initiated this weird campaign with the main goal of not including the gender of their baby on any government documents, writes CBS.

Kori Doty, one of the parents who claims she does not identify herself as a woman or a man, doesn’t want her baby to be classified as “female” or “male” because she will make the choice herself when she will grow.

The baby will be “gender-free” until she will be mature enough to decide whether she wants to belong to a gender or not

“I’m raising Searyl in such a way that until they have the sense of self and command of vocabulary to tell me who they are, I’m recognizing them as a baby and trying to give them all the love and support to be the most whole person that they can be outside of the restrictions that come with the boy box and the girl box,” Doty said.

His parents are now trying to get a birth certificate marked with the letter “U” at the category that suggests the gender, which will symbolize “undetermined sex”.

“We are trying to give him all the love and support he needs to grow into a world without prejudices, labels and restrictions”, revealed the newly parents.

Canada is one of the few countries in the world that allows, just in some provinces, emits a birth certificate with no gender on it.

Parents who started the campaign live in British Columbia, one of the provinces where the baby’s gender is mentiones on to the birth certificate as a male or female.

One of the parents of the child is trans-gender and says the way he was “labeled” at birth affected his entire life.
