In case you forgot, in 2012, Kate and William were photographed by the paparazzi while they were relaxing in the sun in France.

The not-so-pleasant part is that the Duchess of Cambridge was topless and the raunchy images were sold to French magazine Closer.

However, these mishaps are not tolerated by the Royal House, who swore to make those who violated their privacy to pay.

Five years have passed since Prince William is struggling to win the lawsuit he filed against three photographers who worked at Closer and at the local newspaper known as La Provence.

During the hearing that took place in May, William and Kate’s lawyer, Jean Viel stated in front of the judges the royal couple demands £1.5 million in compensation for the invasion of their privacy.

“In September 2012, my wife and I thought we’d go to France to spend a few days in a private villa owned by a member of our family to enjoy intimacy. (…) We know that France and its citizens are generally respectful of the privacy of an individual, even if it’s a tourist.

The clandestine way in which those photographs were taken has shocked us, especially as they have kidnapped our right to privacy”, included the press release issued by Prince William.

Unfortunately for the royal couple, the last decision expressed by the French court is to postpone the trial.

The Court of Justice in Nanterre, Paris, was the one who postponed the verdict of the controversial case.

A French press agency, however, announces that a final sentence will be released on September 5.
