North Korea’s most famous and probably the only newscaster, Ri Chun-hui is known for her unique inflection and ironic tone, especially when she is talking about North Korea’s political or ballistic campaigns.

The most eloquent example of her “unique inflection and ironic tone” was a newsreel broadcasted a week ago, where Ri talked about the last inter-continental ballistic missile test, a crucial milestone in achieving the Supreme Leader’s ultimate goal.

According to the KCNA state agency, Kim Jong-un said the intercontinental missile test is, in fact, “a gift for those American bastards” and required his nuclear physicists to “prepare more gifts for the Yankees”.

Kim Jong-un watched with satisfaction the launch of the Hwasong-14 rocket, which he described “as beautiful as a good-looking boy” and, according to him, a “very-well built rocket”.

Washington confirmed on Tuesday that Pyongyang had made its first launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) and claims this is “a new escalation of the threat” represented by the Stalinist regime, AFP reports.
