The Tonight Show star joins the impressive list of celebrities who have donated incredible amounts of money to the Hurricane Harvey victims from Texas.

During his the most recent edition of his show, Jimmy Fallon made the incredible announcement.

“Last week we saw the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey on the state of Texas. But in the face of this tragedy we saw good”, revealed the NBC star.

“One of most inspiring clips I saw last week was a video of two singers … who visited a storm shelter to sing to hurricane evacuees,” Fallon says, introducing Victoria White and Marquist Taylor, who performed “Lean on Me” with their Houston gospel choir.

Besides the $1 million donation made by The Tonight Show, $18 million dollars were raised via charity organizations, businessmen, and celebrities.

The money will be used to procure food, water, and supplies, the Texas officials have revealed.

The waters have not yet retreated after the disasters caused by Harvey and the Americans are already preparing for the storming of a new hurricane.

Formed in the Atlantic last week, Irma became a hurricane of category 5, which means the wind is blowing with 220 kilometers per hour.

After Hurricane Harvey pretty much destroyed the city of Houston, the governor of Florida has declared a state of emergency and urged the population to prepare for the worst.
