Wu-Tang Clan’s Once Upon a Time in Shaolin album was released in one single copy, recently put up for auction on eBay

The rapper from Wu-Tang Clan adopted the weirdest policy when it came to launching their last album.

After disappearing from the public eye for more than a decade, they decided to launch a new album by releasing just one copy.

Packed in a beautiful metal box decorated with the Wu-Tang signature logo, the unique copy was put up for sale with the starting price of two million dollars.

However, although it may sound crazy, someone has decided to make that investment, even if in theory it came with a few conditions.

The Wu-Tang Clan said the person who would buy the Once Upon a Time in Shaolin copy would commit himself not to sell it or make money from it until 2103.

At the same time, he was not allowed to publish songs on the internet or make them public by any means.

In 2015, the buyer of the Wu-Tang Clan copy was Martin Shkreli, also known as the “pharma bro”.

He is one of the world’s most reluctant individuals, responsible for raising the price of a drug used by the patients with AIDS by 5.000-percent.

Currently, Shkreli is going through a rather difficult financial period with several ongoing trials.

Given the circumstances, he decided to put up his Wu-Tang Clan album for auction on eBay, violating the instructions of the rappers.
