The beautiful blonde mentioned that she is heart-broken and she is still struggling to cope with the tragedy.
Crystal Harris, who was married to Hugh Hefner for five years, testified that she is currently going through a very though period, now that Hef will no longer be by her side.
“I haven’t been able to bring myself to write most people back to thank them for their condolences. I am heartbroken. I am still in disbelief,” she told People.
The 31-year-old model continued by saying her husband was an “American hero. A pioneer. A kind and humble soul.”
Crystal revealed ” how much he loved” her and that she “loved him so much” adding: “I am so grateful. He gave me life.”
“He made me feel loved every single day. He was a beacon to the world, a force unlike anything else. There never has and never will be another Hugh M. Hefner.’
Although Hugh Hefner did not include on Crystal in his will, he left the model a $5 million dollars and a 1.800 square-foot property in Hollywood, estimated at $7 million dollars, these being stipulated in the prenuptial contract signed in 2012 when the two got married.
The legendary “father” of the Playboy empire died in his California home and he was buried next to Marilyn Monroe, the same actress who transformed the magazine into a brand, appearing naked in the first issue, published in 1953.
Hugh Hefner was put to rest in the same mausoleum where Marilyn fell asleep forever, after he paid no less than $75.000 for that spot in 1992.
The founder of Playboy will rest for eternity alongside the first covergirl in the history of the legendary magazine.
The relationship between Hefner and Marilyn Monroe is special due to the fact that she turned the magazine into a huge success right from the start, but also because those steamy shots, transformed the blonde into the world’s most notorious sex symbol.
