Vivienne Westwood revealed the secret of her ageless beauty: “I don’t wash very often”

The fashion designer left her fans with their mouths wide open during an interview at the Paris Fashion Week

Asked how she managed to keep her appearance so fresh and youthful, the 76-year-old fashion legend gave the least expected answer: “I do not wash very often!”.

And if that affirmation was not enough, her 51-year-old husband, who accompanied her during the interview insisted to complete the sentence, by stating:

“Yes, Vivienne washes once a week. That’s why she radiates only beauty!”, said Andreas Kronthaler, who collaborated with Vivienne for her collection, unveiled during the Paris Fashion Week.

Dame Vivienne Westwood was born on April 8, 1941.

West is a British fashion designer and she is also responsible for coming up with the punk trend on the world’s biggest fashion catwalks.

Her real name is Vivienne Isabel Swire and the name of Westwood was “borrowed” from her first husband.

Singer Gwen Stefani regularly mentions the name of the British designer in her 2004 album, “Love.Angel.Music.Baby,” in the songs “Rich Girl” and “Harajuku Girls”.

Stefani said Westwood is her favorite designer, and she buys all her clothes until she empties her wallet.
