Sony offered the British actor a sum of $150 million, to return to the role of James Bond as a spy for two films, according to the website contactmusic.com, citing specific sources. Sony also is preparing the “ground” for a younger actor in the role of Bond.

While rumors about who will give life to the new Bond spy movies are quickly circulating, fans will be happy to learn that there is hope for Daniel Craig. According to sources, the actor could return as 007, after he was offered a colossal sum of money.

Radar writes that Sony has come up with this offer because it wants a smooth transition to a younger successor agent on the long term.

“The studio is desperate to ensure services provided by the actor while introducing a younger long-term successor,” said a source site.

It also said that the 48 years old actor “played brilliantly”, adding: “Everyone knows how revered are the executive producers and the idea of losing a moment so crucial for the franchise is not an option in terms of heads”.

“Daniel is the key to a smooth and safe transition in respect of the heads of Sony and Bond”.

“They’re filming two films, which will be made virtually back-to-back, preferably with Daniel in the role of 007, before handing the figurative baton to someone else, for a third film, which will mark a new era”, added the source.

Since the launch of the latest Bond film, “Spectre / Bond 24”, there were many speculations regarding the actor who will give life. Among the 007 actors “assigned” to the role we can name Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Aidan Turner, James Norton and Michael Fassbender.
