France: Golden eagles, trained to destroy suspicious drones in seconds

If you would want to destroy a drone, what is the method you will opt for?

A bazooka or maybe some projectiles?

What do you think about something ‘more’ hi-tech, like golden eagles specially trained to do this?

The French army discovered the best method of destroying drones is training a golden eagle.

This bird of prey demonstrated its incredible abilities at the beginning of this week in front of France’s top military recruits.

According to some official sources, the eagles were capable of localizing, to capture and of crashing a drone in just seconds.

The flying meat eater ‘started’ their training sessions last year and the process turned out to be a total success.

Apparently, the golden eagles associate the rotor of the drones with the most delicious pray and the French forces took advantage of this discovery.

In the following months, the golden eagles will be used to detect the drones that fly around their military bases, most of them are DJI Phantom 4 Pro or Mavric.

The eagles will take them down in order for the army to assure the air space near their military bases, airports, and prisons are safe.

Some security experts believe terrorist could transport explosives with these drones.

For example, in 2015, during a political protest, someone attached radioactive material to a drone that was heading to the office of the Japanese Prime-Minister.

So, these new ‘assets’ will become an important part of the French army and they will survey the air space on France’s International Day.
