Wikipedia is in danger because of trolls and vandals

Wikipedia is one of the best resources for those seeking information on almost every subject.

But, our online encyclopedia is threatened.

Wp is likely to face extinction given the current situation of the website.

The problems with the articles came into attention the critical situation of an article, which was the target of several deletions and was even in danger of completely disappearing.

This specific article is just one of the 2 million stub-articles that have been deleted or are at risk of disappearing because of those in charge of Wikipedia.

Another recent example involves a hip-hop song, which had been deleted, but returned, in the meantime, back to the page.

In Wp language, a stub means a short article that ‘waits’ to be completed with other information.

Most items on Wp have started this way and one example in this regard would be the article about the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Usually, the articles on Wp have many references. Apparently, the pieces of writing are deleted for a pretty simple reason: Wikipedia’s deletion policy violations.

What usually happens is that a publisher who writes a stub article includes some references.

This article is abandoned due to the vandalism on the draft.

Another editor marks the article for deletion and because the original author is not interested anymore, he does not receive notifications about deleting the article.

So, it goes straight into the bin.

Lastly, all the edit history is deleted, violating the idea of transparency of Wikipedia.

The articles with the highest risk of erasure are written by young people, about their general interests or pop culture.

Those who might delete such articles are usually people with a certain sphere of interests and preferences. They consider that these types of articles do not belong to Wikipedia.
