Beyond Evolution Tech Solutions, the Gurgaon-based company behind Betty, a smart plug that lets you control your electrical devices from a remote location, has secured an undisclosed sum in seed capital. The investors are Kamal Puri, Chairperson of Skyline Team (United Arab Emirates) and Vineet Taneja, former CEO at Indian handset manufacturer Micromax.
Vineet Taneja defended his investment by stating that the Internet of Things (IoT) is a broad field, and the investment on Beyond Evolution is because the company addresses an actual need of markets like India.
The firm will use the funds for product improvements as it advances from a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) stage to enhanced features and eventually marketing.

From a recent official statement, a beta model of the program has been effectively tested with a test team and the merchandise will be accessible to clients by early September 2016. The company is also focused on a variety of devices that are interconnected with the present systems, to ensure users would not have to get an upgrade just to adopt the new products.
