The photograph with Steve Jobs under the IBM logo was taken in 1983. The auction was initiated by Julien’s Live auction house and the starting price for the leather jacket is $4,000. The item’s up for sale for the next 20 days and buyers have the opportunity to see other items that belonged to the hi-tech legend.
Other items worn or used by Jobs include his famous black blouse, a pair of Levi’s jeans and a Seiko watch.
Dressing like Jobs ain’t cheap, though. The three items in question will cost you a total of at least $1,400 – $500 each for the turtleneck and the watch plus another $400 for the jeans. But hey, nobody can put a price tag on style.
The mastermind behind Apple’s massive success was one of the most influential and wealthiest people on the planet. Although he had a fortune worth more than $7 billion, his impressive wealth did not save his life.
The Apple co-founder died on October 6, after a vicious fight with the disease of the century. After he lost the battle against cancer, his incredible fortune was divided between his four children: Jobs Reed, Nicole Lisa Brennan-Jobs, Erin and Eve, while a large part of his estate properties were donated to charity. The iconic Apple founder and leader left behind a sister, Patti Jobs, and many close friends.
Jobs was ranked as the 110th wealthiest man in the world, according to Forbes. A significant part of his fortune is represented by his Walt Disney Co. shares.
