Turkey Arrests 150 Teachers

The Turkish Government issued arrest warrants for 150 teachers accused of sending encrypted messages using an application used by Fethullah Gulen supporters.
According to Anadolu Agency, the authorities from Kayseri the teachers used the ByLock Application.
Despite the fact they were suspended right after the failed coup attempt, the Turkish government accused the teachers of ‘violating the constitution’,‘attempting to overthrow the Turkish government’ and ‘collaborating with a terrorist organization’.
Turkish officials have said that those involved in the plot used the ByLock application used to coordinate the attempted coup from July 15.
Ankara claims that Fethullah Gulen, a Muslim cleric exiled in the United States, paid a terrorist organization to infiltrated in various Turkish state institutions in order to overthrow the Erdogan regime.
At the special mission launched this morning in the city of Kayseri (central Turkey) attended more than 400 policemen.
In July, one of Tayyip’s advisers stated that the Turkish Intelligence Services started to decrypt messages sent through ByLock. According to the official, an impressive number of Fethulla’s supporters, including a military senior, were identified in this way.
Around 20,000 people were arrested following the attempted coup and more than 70,000 militants, justice workers and journalists were discharged from their jobs.
Erdogan Tayyip accused the former imam, who lives in Pennsylvania for more than 17 years of organizing the attempted coup in mid-July.
Turkish prime minister Binali Yildirim said that teachers suspected of collaborating with PKK will not have their contracts renewed in the upcoming school year, which begins on September, 19.
