Before its official launching, Galaxy Note7 was considered the most coveted Android smartphone created by Samsung. But the hi-tech device might go down in history as one of the greatest failures in the South-Korean company’s history.
So far, Samsung Galaxy Note7’s recall from the market cost the smartphone maker more than $1 billion. Following the last tests conducted by Samsun, the South-Korean giant decided to stop using the initial battery, changing the supplier. Samsung Electronics discovered that the problem that caused the destruction of Note7s was the battery produced by sister company Samsung SDI. Samsung SDI has produced 70% of the batteries of their latest hi-tech device.
The scandal regarding the Galaxy Note 7 grows by the day. A week after Samsung announced the massive withdrawal, users worldwide rushed to backlash the South-Korean company because there are still countries where the company does not ensure a replacing program.
Currently, Samsung is the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world and every failure of this magnitude is beneficial for its most bitter rival.
Some hi-tech enthusiasts claim that a refurbished smartphone will never surpass the ‘Va Va Voom’ generated by the initial smartphone. Instead of making these inappropriate remarks, users should consider that the refurbishment will be carried by Samsung itself.
We are keeping our eyes on Samsung’s next move and we are eager to find out their new decision regarding the massive withdrawal.
The $1 billion loss is not going to be an easy hurdle for Samsung and they don’t have another choice but to change the terminals.
