Former US Colonel Gulmurod Khalimov Joined ISIS

A high-trained American sniper became the official Minister of ISIS, report The Independent.

Colonel Gulmurod Khalimov was trained in the US Special Forces and was in charge of the American troops from Tajikistan. Meanwhile, following Abu Omar al-Shishan alias ‘Omar Chechnya’ death, one of the commanders of the Islamic State, Khalimov received his position.

The sniper was nicknamed ‘Tajik’, after his native country and in footage released by ISIS, you could see Khalimov swearing he will destroy Russia, United States, and Tajikistan.

According to the Iranian press, the former US colonel disappeared in 2015 while coordinating a special mission in Tajikistan. His former cameras were shocked to found out a couple of months ago that he joined ISIS.

The American authorities are putting at stake a $3 million reward for any information that could lead to this man.

Gulmurod vanished in late April. Following his disappearing, the Tajik authorities initiated the most elaborated search because they were afraid the colonel might be in great danger.

In the ten-minute clip, the former-colonel appears holding a rifle, exactly like the ones used by the American snipers.

The commander let his beard grow and spoke Russian while standing in front of a palm tree. The authorities were not able to identify the place, in which they recorded the video.

The members of his former unit declared they are planning to publish a press statement in which they will condemn Khalimov’s gesture.
