Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have dodged rumors about a possible relationship for the last three years and now we know the reason why.

It seems that the actress has a divorce agreement with Tom Cruise which states that she cannot publicly date anyone for five years after the marriage breakup with the movie star.

‘Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce. She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri,’ declared a source.

The reason Katie agreed to this was for the divorce to end quickly and without problems. She wanted to be out of the marriage so badly that she agreed to the agreement, receiving this way $5 million for herself and another $4,8 million for child support.

The divorce agreement was over after only ten days later the agreement and Suri’s custody went to Katie. Rumors say that Cruise has not seen his daughter since she was only five years old, now being 10.

The gossip about Foxx and Holmes being in a relationship started after the two stars had been spotted dancing together at a benefit in the Hamptons. Jamie Foxx totally denied the rumors saying that they are ‘one hundred percent untrue’ and even ‘hilarious.’

Although denying their involvement, there are rumors about a possible wedding after the actress was spotted wearing a diamond ring.
