Donald Trump, the Republican Party candidate in the 2016 presidential elections in the United States, said he hoped that Hillary Clinton will recover soon, according to NBC News.
“I hope that she will return soon. I do not know what happens. The cough crisis was over a week ago, I suppose it was all because of pneumonia,” Trump told Fox News.
On Friday, Hillary Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia. The democrat left the ceremony commemorating the victims of September 11 as she was made sick from the heat, her campaign team announced.
“It’s interesting because they diagnosed her with pneumonia but she had a very bad cough a week ago and even before that … it was not the first time,” said Trump.
The White House candidate Hillary Clinton was under pressure on Monday to provide explanations regarding her health and the incident on Sunday that led her team to reveal that she suffers from pneumonia.
Installed in her home in Chappaqua, near New York, she canceled a visit on Sunday night that was to perform on Monday and Tuesday in California for fundraising and campaigning.
A witness filmed her from behind, while she lost her balance and got in the car with two bodyguards, a video recording which circulated widely on the Internet, especially in the conservative media. After several hours she appeared smiling, saying she is well and not to worry.
After several hours of silence, Clinton’s team sent a statement of her personal physician, Lisa Bardack, who said that the Democrat was rehydrated, but that she’s treated with antibiotics because of pneumonia. She received this diagnosis on Friday, two days before the incident.
