American President Donald Trump is turning 71
The president will not spend his birthday at the White House.
Just five months after taking the office, Donald Trump is the center of all scandals.
The problems for US’ 45th President began way before joining the White House on January 20th.
Immediately after the elections, the press published a series of controversial information related to Trump’s secret meetings with a group of Russian officials.
Security advisor Michael Flynn resigned after being forced to admit that he did discuss with the Russian ambassador.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump is being accused of trying to obstruct the FBI’s investigation regarding this case.
Reporter: He (James Comey – n.r.) said under oath that you told them to leave Flynn alone … You said you hoped the investigation regarding Flynn’s case…
Donald Trump: I did not say that.
Reporter: So he lied?
Donald Trump: Well, I did not say that.
Reporter: Would you be willing to testify under oath to tell your version?
Donald Trump: Hundred percent. I barely know this man, I could not ask for loyalty, who would do that?
James Comey, former FBI director: ‘I was confused to find out on television the president actually fired me from the Russian investigation’.
Besides the scandal over Russia’s involvement in the election, Donald Trump is also accused of a conflict of interests.
Two federal prosecutors sued the US president for having received expensive gifts during his term.
And Eric Trump, the second son of the president, is accused by another federal prosecutor of hijacking some funds.
Brian Frosh, Maryland Prosecutor: As we know from his Twitter messages, he does not respect the laws and does not respect the right of tribunals to enforce the law.
Against the background of these scandals, Donald Trump decided to leave from Washington for his birthday.
He will make a short trip to Wisconsin.
