Prince William is being drawn in a major corruption scandal related to the 2018 World Football Championship, writes The Daily Beast.

The Duke of Cambridge is also the president of the Football Association of the UK

A while ago, William greeted a South Korean delegation to discuss a possible mutual vote of the two countries hosting offers for the sporting event.

The meeting was also attended by British Prime Minister, David Cameron.

The Daily Beast writes that although there is no suggestion that William has encouraged such a voting scheme which pretty much violates the international rules, the fact that William and the former British Prime Minister refused to prevent its interpretable.

The disclosures related to the meeting with the South Korean delegation are mentioned in Jack Garcia’s “classified” report.

The report was initially created for the countries that in 2010 were designated to host the World Cups of 2018 and 2022, including the Russian Federation and Qatar.

Until now, only a summary of the report had been published by FIFA, but Garcia denied the allegations, labeling the Federation published a distorted version of the story.

The report was published only after several pages were published in a German daily, writes The Daily Beast.

According to the report, David Cameron would have asked South Korea in 2010 to support Britain’s bid to host the Championship in 2018, promising to do the same thing for them for the 2022 World Championship.
