George Clooney and his wife are set to donate over three million dollars to a group of Syrian children who have managed to flee the country ravaged by the civil war
These children are currently living in refugee camps in Lebanon, Amal Clooney’s native country.
According to a source close to the couple, the massive donation will go to an education system credited by an organization that only supports the Syrian pupils who, eventually, manage to escape from Syria.
“We do not want to lose a whole generation because they were born in a wrong era”, revealed the legendary actor.
Almost 500.000 Syrian children have found their salvation in Lebanon and 200.000 still have no access to any education source, according to the United Nations.
George and Amal Clooney welcomed their twins last month
The Human Rights lawyer and the Hollywood A-lister became the parents of a girl and a boy, early in July.
Amal gave birth in a private hospital from Chelsea, UK, where she booked an exclusive penthouse months before her due-date.
According to sources inside, the couple paid up no less than $11.000 to cover all the medical expenses.
‘Ella and Alexander and healthy and happy’, added the representative, who also joked about George’s current condition:
Amal Alamuddin and the former ‘eternal bachelor’ tied the knot in 2014 during an intimate ceremony in Venice.
The American producer, writer, and actor is 56-years-old.
